2026 Clinical Practice Guidelines Development

From Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists

Who can apply: Application must be submitted through an SCA committee. Applicant must be an SCA member at the time of application. SCA Committee and Subcommittee members are encouraged to apply. Authors currently receiving funding for a similar purpose are not considered, though they may serve as co-authors. Applications for scoping reviews are accepted.

Who can apply: Eligible organizations are charitable organizations exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) and governmental entities for public and charitable purposes. Primary consideration is given to organizations in the City of Akron and Summit County, Ohio, and to local chapters of national charities located in the Akron and Summit County area. Requests are reviewed on their merits.

General Grantmaking (Spring & Fall Cycles)

Who can apply: Grants are made only to recognized, tax-exempt charities. Requests must align with one or more of the foundation's priority areas: human services, civic affairs, and Jewish life. The foundation prioritizes innovative grassroots organizations serving lower-income, disadvantaged communities.

Medical Research Grants

From Robert J & Helen C Kleberg Foundation

Who can apply: IRS-registered 501(c)(3) organizations with public charity status 509(a)(1) or 509(a)(2), or public universities under section 170(c). Medical research applications must be institutionally approved; individual researcher applications are not considered. Priority is given to organizations with a long-standing relationship with the Foundation, preferably in Texas.

Medical Research Grants (Cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's)

Who can apply: Applicant must be a nonprofit with IRS 501(c)(3) confirmation letter; projects must further the Foundation's mission and demonstrate competent management and measurable results. Preference to organizations in the D.C. area, Chicago, and Florida. Generally not for general operating support.
