Who can apply: Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity; serve residents in the Fund's geographic footprint; align with the Fund's focus areas; not have received a grant from the Fund in the previous 24 months; not have had a funding request declined in the prior 12 months; must have submitted final reports for prior grants (if applicable); not undergoing an executive leadership change. The Fund does not consider requests from individuals, government agencies, membership organizations, most schools/universities (except public charter and parochial schools), PTAs, national/international organizations, hospitals/hospital foundations, or organizations significantly involved in advocacy or litigation.

Who can apply: Federal, state, and local governments, educational institutions and nonprofit organizations are welcome to apply for matching grants from NFWF's conservation priority programs; program funding is competitive and focused on targeted southeastern watersheds.
