Who can apply: Applicants may be faculty veterinarians, post-doctoral fellows (DVM or non-DVM), practicing veterinarians, veterinary students, and PhDs in scientific or medical specialties; collaboration with veterinary scientists is recommended. Projects must benefit domestic companion cats and fit within the budget limit. Applicants using client-owned animals must show adequate institutional caseload and humane use approvals.
Who can apply: Applicants must be IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, or have a 501(c)(3) fiscal agent. Projects must address one or more significant health needs identified in the hospital's community health needs assessment or implementation strategy, serve underserved or vulnerable populations in the hospital service area, and have sustained activity over 9 to 12 months. Proposals of $20,000 or more must include collaborating partner organizations beyond the granting hospital. The program does not fund unrestricted operating support, event sponsorships, activities under 9 months, capital projects, lobbying, or political campaigns.
From Commonspirit Health Research Institute
Who can apply: Applicants must be IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, or have a fiscal agent that is a 501(c)(3) capable of administering grant funds. Projects must address one or more significant health needs in the hospital's most recent CHNA or implementation strategy, serve the hospital's service area and underserved/vulnerable populations, and have sustained activity over 9 to 12 months. Grants of $20,000 or more must include collaborating partner organizations beyond the granting hospital. One-year projects only; no unrestricted operating support, event sponsorships, capital projects, lobbying, or political campaigns.
From American Occupational Therapy Foundation
Who can apply: Principal investigator must hold a doctoral degree, be an occupational therapy practitioner or working in occupational therapy research, have institutional affiliation with research support capabilities, and meet the program's project requirements.
From Robert J & Helen C Kleberg Foundation
Who can apply: Organizations may apply once a year. Animal shelters, zoos, and local rehabilitation efforts are not eligible unless the organization has a history of previous funding. For medical animal research studies only, applicants must use the Medical Research Study Application.
