Who can apply: Applicants must complete a two-page application form and provide a brief project description and verification of IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The foundation does not normally fund organizations and causes outside the Rock Island metropolitan area, lobbying or electioneering, individuals, sectarian/religious organizations whose services are limited to members of one religious group, trips/tours/tickets/tables for benefit purposes, advertising for benefit purposes, annual operating expenses for programs, commitments requiring future foundation income, sponsorship of educational programs or fees for individuals to attend them, or foundations/organizations that make grants to individuals or programs.
