BE LIKE BRIT WAS ESTABLISHED TO HONOR THE LIFE OF BRITNEY GENGEL, WHO DIED IN THE 2010 EARTHQUAKE IN HAITI WHILE ON A SERVICE TRIP WITH HER UNIVERSITY. THE MISSION OF BE LIKE BRIT IS "TO SERVE THE CHILDREN OF HAITI BY SUSTAINING A SAFE AND NURTURING CHILDREN'S HOME ROOTED IN THE VIRTUES OF FAITH, HOPE, AND LOVE, WHILE DEVELOPING A SENSE OF SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT, AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE."
