Who can apply: Eligible for 501(c)3 nonprofits, government entities, educational institutions or organizations with a fiscal sponsor. For general operating support, organizations must primarily serve the East Metro; program/project support can be requested by any organization if the project serves 50% or more East Metro residents; capital support requires demonstrated ongoing or potential significant benefit to East Metro residents.

Who can apply: Tax-exempt charitable organizations operating in the Metropolitan area of Washington, D.C. Priority is given to organizations promoting educational opportunities for under-privileged children ages 3 to 6. The foundation does not make grants to supporting organizations, private foundations, or individuals.

Who can apply: Open to nonprofit organizations that fit the foundation's funding areas and initiative priorities. The foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals. Previous grantees are encouraged to contact the Executive Director before the LOI deadline to confirm fit. Approved requests must reapply each year; grants are not automatically renewed.

Who can apply: Applicants must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization that demonstrates significant local impact, have a mission or services aligned with Northwest Community Bank’s areas of focus, and provide services within Northwest Community Bank communities. Municipalities may be considered for programs or expenditures outside the realm of municipal responsibilities. The foundation does not fund political organizations or candidates, activities for religious purposes, individual endeavors, discriminatory organizations, or organizations using a fiscal agent.
