Grant Application Guidelines

Who can apply: Applicants must be qualified tax-exempt nonprofit organizations under Section 501(c)(3). Support is primarily for organizations located in and/or directly assisting residents of Broome County, New York. The foundation does not fund individuals, churches for religious purposes, sponsorships, donations, fundraising events, or most one-time event programs. A grant number is required before submitting an application.

Speh Family Foundation Annual Grant Program

From Albert J and Claire R Speh Foundation

Who can apply: Open to nonprofit organizations that fit the foundation's funding areas and initiative priorities. The foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals. Previous grantees are encouraged to contact the Executive Director before the LOI deadline to confirm fit. Approved requests must reapply each year; grants are not automatically renewed.

Annual Grant Program

Who can apply: Nonprofits only; focus is on groups within the Adirondack Park serving year-round residents. Organizations based outside the park may be considered if the grant's primary impact will be within the Adirondack Park. In general, capital campaign grants and grants solely for staff salary are not funded.

Who can apply: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in the US and Canada; proposed work must create or significantly expand personal and professional growth experiences for high-school/GED-aged teenagers and young adults ages 16-25; projects must serve one or more of the Foundation’s selected cities; applications are evaluated on seven equally weighted criteria centered on empowering young people to shape a secure future for themselves, their communities, and/or the world.

United Way of Greater Niagara Annual Youth Development Grants

Who can apply: Applicant must be a current 501(c)(3) organization, located within Niagara County and/or the City of Tonawanda, and operate a program/service that aligns with United Way of Greater Niagara's youth-focused area of focus with measurable outcomes.
