Speh Family Foundation Annual Grant Program

From Albert J and Claire R Speh Foundation

Who can apply: Open to nonprofit organizations that fit the foundation's funding areas and initiative priorities. The foundation does not accept unsolicited grant proposals. Previous grantees are encouraged to contact the Executive Director before the LOI deadline to confirm fit. Approved requests must reapply each year; grants are not automatically renewed.

NOW Grants (Hurricane Helene / Emergency NOW Grants)

From Wnc Bridge Foundation

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) public charities, fiscally sponsored projects of a 501(c)(3) public charity, local government entities including public schools, and religious entities. Applicants must serve individuals within the 18-county Western North Carolina region or the Qualla Boundary. Organizations awarded a 2026 IMPACT Grant are not eligible for 2026 NOW Grant funding. Exclusions include annual fund/capital campaigns, athletic boosters or youth sports, capital projects, loans, political purposes/lobbying, faith-restricted or doctrine-promoting programs, reimbursement for pre-deadline costs, regranting, and sponsorships.

Bertie-Hertford Community Foundation Grants

Who can apply: Eligible charitable organizations and partnerships supporting Bertie and Hertford counties may apply. The program considers all grant applications that serve the two counties and align with identified community needs.

DeLeon Carter Foundation Annual Grant Program

From Deleon Carter Foundation

Who can apply: Applicants must submit the foundation's application form, a one-page narrative proposal, a project budget, current governing board information, and tax-exempt documentation if applicable. Applications must be signed by a representative of the organization and submitted by August 31 each year.
