The Gaudio Family Foundation concentrates its international giving on policy research and conflict prevention, demonstrated by multi-hundred-thousand-dollar support to a single global crisis-mapping NGO. Grants are donor-directed, including both core/general operating support and a specific event/meeting in Sarajevo, indicating interest in Balkans-related engagement and high-touch oversight by the named donor. The foundation favors pragmatic, large-scale contributions to established international affairs organizations rather than small, diversified grants.
The Gaudio Family Foundation C/o Fulton Vittoria LLP shows a strong pattern of large grants to international affairs, conflict prevention, and Western Balkans-related work. Its largest recent awards include $700,000 to International Crisis Group, with $500,000 directed to core work and $200,000 earmarked for the group’s 2025 board meeting in Sarajevo, and $500,000 to The Nature Conservancy for work in Southeast Europe tied to preserving the Western Balkans. Those grants point to a funder that combines operating support with tightly defined project funding. The foundation also backs institutions working across policy, environment, and social support. Recent awards include support for Acumen Fund, ClientEarth, Maliasili Initiatives, and clean-energy and conservation work in the Balkans and Eastern Africa. In the UK, it has funded frontline services for refugees and asylum seekers, as well as organizations serving people in London. Elsewhere, it has supported arts and cultural heritage work in Paris through Les Amis Du Centre Pompidou. Its recent giving is concentrated in sizable grants rather than many small awards, and several recipients appear across multiple years, suggesting sustained relationships with selected organizations.
One clear theme is conflict prevention and policy research. The foundation gave $700,000 to International Crisis Group in 2024 for general operating support, and another $700,000 in 2025 split between core work and the group’s board meeting in Sarajevo. It also gave $257,498 to the same organization for the “Balkan Initiative” project. A second cluster is environmental work in Southeast Europe. The Nature Conservancy received $500,000 in 2025 for its work in Southeast Europe under the proposal “Preserving the Wild Beauty of the Western Balkans,” and $333,333 in both 2023 and 2024 for “Balkans Clean, Green Energy Future Work.” ClientEarth was also funded for the Blue Heart campaign and the Blue Heart of Europe campaign. The foundation also supports social services in London. Grants went to Refugee Action for its frontline service and to St Giles Trust, Allchild Limited, West London Zone, City Harvest Ltd, New Horizon Youth Centre, and Smart Works Charity for general operating support.

Highly concentrated: very few, large grants to a single repeat grantee; donor-directed earmarks alongside general operating support; hands-on decision by named donor rather than open competitive grantmaking.
Notable grantees: International Crisis Group
Typical grants are sizable: the 25th percentile is $121,755, the median is $178,840, and the 75th percentile is $250,000. Many awards cluster around the mid-six-figure range, with repeated funding to the same organizations across multiple years, including International Crisis Group, ClientEarth, The Nature Conservancy, St Giles Trust, City Harvest Ltd, and Smart Works Charity. The foundation is a regular funder rather than a donor-advised fund, makes grants to individuals, and does not make program-related investments. The recent record shows a mix of unrestricted support and earmarked project funding, often within the same grant.
