The Dvaykus Foundation concentrates its giving on Orthodox Jewish religious life and education in the Far Rockaway/Queens community, funding institutions that provide Torah study and educational aid. Grants are directed primarily to synagogal educational programs and yeshiva support, indicating a local, faith-based philanthropic mission focused on sustaining traditional Jewish learning.
Highly concentrated: a small number of relatively large grants, repeat multi-grant support to the same local grantees, focused almost exclusively on religious/educational Jewish organizations.
Dvaykus Foundation Inc. gives repeatedly to Orthodox Jewish education and religious life, with several large multi-year awards centered on Far Rockaway, Queens, and nearby New York communities. Its recent records show sustained support for educational aid, Torah study, and yeshiva operations rather than one-time, unrelated projects. Friends of Ahavat Shalom received $73,000 in 2025 after $72,000 in 2023 and $70,000 in 2024, while Yeshiva Shor Yoshuv received $70,000 in 2025 after prior grants of $31,000 in 2024 and $30,000 in 2023. That pattern points to continuing institutional support across multiple years. The foundation also funds schools and kollelim tied to traditional Jewish learning, including Beth Medrash Govoha, American Friends of Yeshivat D'mir Inc, Yeshiva Darche Torah, Torah Academy for Girls, and Yeshivas Mir Yerushalyim. Several grants are written as educational aid or support for Torah study, and the recipient list shows a consistent emphasis on organizations serving Jewish students and congregations.
Educational aid is a central theme in the foundation’s giving. Friends of Ahavat Shalom in Monsey received $73,000 in 2025 for educational aid, and Beth Medrash Govoha in Lakewood received $15,000 in 2025 for the same purpose. Torah study is another clear focus: Yeshiva Shor Yoshuv in Lawrence received $70,000 in 2025 to support education and Torah study, while Kollel Zichron Yosef in Brooklyn received $10,000 in 2025 for Torah study. The foundation also supports school operations and student education in Far Rockaway. Yeshiva Darche Torah received $12,000 in 2025 to educate students, and Torah Academy for Girls received $10,000 in 2024 to provide educational support to schools. These grants show a mix of institutional support for faith-based schooling and aid for religious study programs.
The grant sizes cluster around smaller institutional awards, with a typical range of $1,000 at the 25th percentile, $3,000 at the median, and $5,000 at the 75th percentile. Larger recurring grants appear alongside many smaller awards, suggesting a two-tier pattern of both anchor support and routine operating or program support. Recipients often reappear across years: Friends of Ahavat Shalom, Yeshiva Shor Yoshuv, Beth Medrash Govoha, and several others received grants in multiple years. The foundation is a private grantmaker; it does not fund individuals and does not make program-related investments.
