What Wi Cook Foundation Funds
A major theme in the foundation’s giving is support for the medical center itself. In 2025, it gave $22,276,084 to Cook Children's Medical Center for financial assistance, after awards of $11,128,505 in 2023 and $7,428,487 in 2024 to the same recipient. Another strand appears in behavioral and developmental services: Child Study Center received $4,794,879 in 2023, $3,184,732 in 2024, and $1,770,375 in 2025, all for financial assistance. How Wi Cook Foundation Gives
Typical grants are large: the p25 is $114,465, the median is $1,760,624, and the p75 is $3,853,300. The recent record shows repeat support to the same Fort Worth recipients across 2023, 2024, and 2025, which points to ongoing institutional funding rather than isolated one-time awards. The foundation does not fund individuals and does not make program-related investments. The pattern is direct financial assistance, with grants concentrated in a small set of related organizations.
