Work must impact the region including Waterbury. Individuals, capital campaigns, 501(c)(4) institutions, schools, organizations with budgets under $150,000 or over $2 million, and entities funded in other 2026 Leever grant rounds are ineligible.

Funds are for future out-of-pocket litigation expenses only, not attorneys' fees, staff time, or overhead. Recipient must agree to repay the original grant plus 7% simple interest if fees or costs are recovered.
