VIRGINIA MASON MEDICAL CENTER'S (THE MEDICAL CENTER) MISSION IS TO IMPROVE THE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING OF THE PATIENTS IT SERVICES THROUGH THE DELIVERY OF HIGH QUALITY, COST-EFFECTIVE CARE. THE MEDICAL CENTER PROVIDES INTEGRATED HEALTH SERVICES THROUGH A TEACHING HOSPITAL LICENSES FOR 371 BEDS AND MULTI-SPECIALITY GROUP PRACTICE OF APPROXIMATELY 621 EMPLOYED PHYSICIANS, OFFERING BOTH PRIMARY AND SPECIALIZED CARE, THROUGH A REGIONAL NETWORK OF NEIGHBORHOOD CLINICS AND AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTERS.
