Mission
Radio Bilinge is committed to serving as a voice to empower Latinos and other underserved communities. Established in 1977 by a collective of farmworkers, activists, artists, and educators, RB is one of the leading non-commercial Latino radio networks in the U.S. As a trusted producer and broadcaster of Spanish and indigenous language radio programming, Radio Bilinge utilizes its extensive network of radio stations, repeaters and regional affiliates to reach linguistically, socially, and economically marginalized communities in the digital age. RB focuses on meeting the news and informational needs of the most vulnerable Latino populations. Its audience consists of traditionally underserved Spanish-speaking families and workers, many of whom work in farming, construction, service/hospitality, manufacturing, gardening, day labor, trucking, and other low-wage fields.
