Mission
TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY REGARDING THE ESTABLISHMENT, OPERATION AND PRESERVATION OF FARMLAND AND FARMERS MARKETS THROUGHOUT THE MID-ATLANTIC REGION AND TO PROVIDE ALTERNATIVE EDUCATIONAL AND MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES FOR FARMERS AND OTHERS TO CREATE LOCAL AND SUSTAINABLE FOOD SYSTEMS THAT ARE ENVIRONMENTALLY SOUND, ECONOMICALLY VIABLE AND SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AND WHICH IMPROVE THE VARIETY, FRESHNESS, NUTRITIONAL VALUE AND DISTRIBUTION OF FRESH FARMLAND PRODUCE TO THE COMMUNITY.
