Mission

EMPOWER SCHOOLS IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITIES TO HELP THEM GET THE SCHOOLS THEY WANT WITH THE RESULTS THEY NEED. WE DO THIS THROUGH LAUNCHING AND SUPPORTING EMPOWERMENT ZONES, DESIGNING RURAL COLLABORATIVES, AND SUPPORTING THE LAUNCH OF EARLY COLLEGE AND CAREER PATHWAYS. WE ALSO ADVANCE AND INFORM POLICY, AND BUILD ALIGNED ECOSYSTEMS THAT EMPOWER EDUCATORS AND SERVE STUDENTS BETTER. EMPOWER WAS INCORPORATED JUNE 20, 2013 AND BEGAN OPERATING AS AN INDEPENDENT 501(C)(3) JULY 1, 2014. WE WORK NATIONWIDE WITH DISTRICT AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, EDUCATORS, STATE EDUCATION AGENCIES, AND FUNDERS TO ALIGN INTERESTS AND DEVELOP PATHWAYS FOR CHANGE.
