THE CENTER IS THE FIRST NON-PROFIT ANIMAL WELFARE ORGANIZATION THAT FOCUSES ON INFLUENCING THE CONDUCT OF CORPORATIONS TO FORGE A HUMANE ECONOMIC ORDER. THE CENTER ENCOURAGES CORPORATIONS TO EMBRACE ANIMAL WELFARE AS A CORE PART OF THEIR COMMITMENT TO SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, BY PROMOTING REFORMS IN PURCHASING PRACTICES, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS, AND OTHER OPERATIONS THAT RECOGNIZE ANIMAL WELFARE IMPERATIVES.
