About Robinson Family Foundation
The Robinson Family Foundation directs its philanthropic support almost exclusively to higher education, funding a summer fellowship program at Haverford College. Its giving appears focused, family-directed, and aimed at sustaining a named program (The Alexander Robinson 1996 Summer Fellows Program). About Robinson Family Foundation
The Robinson Family Foundation’s most distinctive pattern is a repeated $400,000 commitment to Haverford College for The Alexander Robinson 1996 Summer Fellows Program Fund in both 2024 and 2025. That program-level support sits at the center of the foundation’s philanthropy, which also includes annual gifts to the same college and additional scholarship, operating, and professional-development support at a small set of schools and education-related institutions. The foundation’s giving is concentrated rather than broad, with multiple grants returning year after year to the same recipients and funds. Across the recent grants list, Haverford College is the clearest anchor, receiving the largest gifts and the most visible program support. The foundation also funds named student support at Princeton University through the Holland-Robinson Family Venture Forward Scholarship Fund, and it has backed institutional needs at Phillips Exeter Academy and The Dalton School. Smaller grants extend to other education and policy organizations, but the overall profile remains tied to higher education and student-facing opportunities. The Robinson Family Foundation also funds individuals, which aligns with its emphasis on fellowships and scholarships rather than only institutional support.
What Robinson Family Foundation Funds
The Robinson Family Foundation’s clearest cause area is undergraduate summer fellowship programming. In 2024 and 2025, it gave $400,000 each year to Haverford College for The Alexander Robinson 1996 Summer Fellows Program Fund, showing sustained support for student research and experiential learning. Scholarships are another recurring theme. The foundation gave $50,000 in 2023, 2024, and 2025 to The Trustees of Princeton University for the Holland-Robinson Family Venture Forward Scholarship Fund, linking its giving to student financial support. It also backs campus operations and institutional funds. Phillips Exeter Academy received $25,000 in 2024 and 2025 for the Dining Hall Fund, while The Dalton School received $50,000 in 2025 for the Monica and Alexander Robinson Professional Development Fund and repeated annual-fund support in 2023, 2024, and 2025. These grants show a mix of program, student, and institutional support.
