Who can apply: Applicants must be New York City-based organizations or programs whose tax-exempt status has been recognized by the IRS. The Foundation does not award grants to individuals. New organizations and organizations returning from a three-year hiatus must submit a letter of inquiry. Grants may be renewed for a maximum of three consecutive years, at the Foundation's discretion, after which organizations must take a three-year hiatus before reapplying.
Deadline: Fall-cycle LOIs are accepted June 1 through July 15; Spring-cycle LOIs are accepted December 1 through January 15. Submissions are due by 6:00 p.m. on the applicable deadline date.
