The foundation also supported St Pius X High School, another Houston Catholic school, with funding tied to a football field upgrade and pledge payments, reinforcing the pattern of backing private-school enhancement rather than broad public education programming. The same pattern extends beyond one campus. Strake Foundation has made grants to other Houston-area Catholic and faith-centered organizations, including St Thomas High School, Western Academy, and the Dominican Sisters Mary Immaculate Province. It has also funded formation and leadership efforts through the Fellowship of Catholic University Students and the Pontifical North American College. What Strake Foundation Funds

Catholic education is the most visible theme. Strake Foundation gave $120,000 to St Piux X High School for an “Upgrade Football Field” project and $50,000 to Western Academy for a Scholarship Fund, alongside support for St Thomas High School’s “Eagles Everlasting Endowment.” Health-related grants are also present in Houston. The foundation awarded $100,000 to San Jose Clinic for “Ensuring continuity of care for Houston Uninsured and Underserved” and another $80,000 for “Improving Health to the uninsured and medically underserved of Greater Houston.” It also gave $50,000 to Houston Methodist Foundation for “Heart Institute” and $50,000 to Methodist Hospital Foundation for “Afibulation Research.” Faith formation and outreach show up in multiple grants as well. Strake Foundation supported the Fellowship of Catholic University Students with $50,000 for “Building a Generation of Moral and Faithful Leaders,” and funded the Pontifical North American College for “Corso Auditorium Renovation.”
