The Martha Sue Parr Trust concentrates sizable, unrestricted grants to faith‑affiliated child welfare, regional healthcare systems, and civic cultural institutions—primarily in the Fort Worth/Texas area despite the trust’s Chicago address. Grants are often designated as general or general operating support and are made repeatedly to the same organizations, suggesting sustained relationships with a small set of institutional grantees.
Concentrated, large grants to a small number of repeat institutional grantees with multiple multi‑year/general operating awards rather than many small or one‑off gifts.
A defining pattern of Martha Sue Parr Trust Xxxxx6005 is its repeated support for Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home, including a $416,000 grant in 2024 and $300,000 grants in both 2025 and 2023. That recurring relationship sits alongside other sizable awards to faith-affiliated and community-serving institutions, especially in Texas. The trust’s recent grants also include major support for All Saints Health Foundation and Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, showing a mix of child welfare, health care, and civic cultural funding. Across the recent grant list, the foundation’s giving is centered on unrestricted or general support rather than project-specific awards. Many grants are framed as general, general operating, or operating support, which points to a preference for strengthening organizational stability. The trust also appears to maintain multi-year relationships with a relatively small group of recipients, with several organizations receiving grants in more than one year. Its portfolio includes religious, educational, human services, and health-related nonprofits, with Fort Worth-area institutions appearing frequently among the named recipients.
In child welfare and residential care, Martha Sue Parr Trust Xxxxx6005 gave $416,000 in 2024 to Cumberland Presbyterian Children’s Home for general support, followed by $300,000 grants in 2025 and 2023. That repeated backing makes the home one of the clearest anchor grantees in the trust’s portfolio. Health-related giving is also prominent. The trust awarded $250,000 in 2025 to All Saints Health Foundation for general support, and it gave Texas Health Resources $180,000 in 2024. These grants show an interest in regional health systems and hospital-related funding. The trust also supports education and faith-based institutions. Grants include $100,000 in 2023 and $76,000 in 2025 to Cristo Rey Fort Worth Catholic High Scho, plus $50,000 in 2023 to Brite Divinity School for general operating funds. Cultural and youth-serving groups also appear, including the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and Camp Fire First Texas.
Martha Sue Parr Trust Xxxxx6005 tends to make mid-sized to large grants, with a typical range of $20,000 at the 25th percentile, $30,000 at the median, and $70,000 at the 75th percentile. The recent grants list shows repeat awards to the same organizations across multiple years, including several that received funding in 2023, 2024, and 2025. That pattern suggests ongoing institutional relationships rather than one-time gifts. The trust is administered by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. as trustee. Its grants are primarily general, general operating, or operating support, and the active grant program data says unsolicited requests are not accepted. The trust also has a highly restricted designated-grants program for specific religious and child-care organizations.
