General Grantmaking — Animal Welfare

Who can apply: Applicants must be US-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organizations. Historically prioritized organizations based in northern Illinois (including Chicago and surrounding suburbs) and southern Wisconsin for US grants. For international conservation partners, JBF partners with established organizations (e.g., Elephants, Rhinos & People). Organizations must provide IRS Letter of Determination and other requested documents (Form 990, project budget, etc.).

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; no fixed annual deadline specified.
