Who can apply: The child must be under age 14, must not have undergone previous cardiac surgery, must have a biventricular condition that can be repaired in one operation, and must have no chromosomal abnormalities. Required documentation includes a recent moving echocardiogram and report, child photograph, immunization record, specified test results, ECG, chest X-ray, physician letter, and other medical records. Referrals are reviewed by HeartGift's Medical Review Committee.
