General Grant Program
Who can apply: Applicants must provide a copy of their 501(c)(3) IRS determination letter. Requests must primarily serve Eastern Niagara County residents, although projects in broader Niagara County and Western New York may be considered if they are not duplicative and demonstrate a clear, proven need. Applicants should identify additional funding sources and demonstrate sustainability. The Foundation does not typically fund scholarships, unsupported religious organizations, or individuals. Requests from tax-supported agencies or agencies outside Niagara County providing an unmet Niagara County service require unanimous Board approval.
Deadline: For 2026, Letters of Inquiry are due January 11, April 19, July 12, and October 4. Full applications are due February 1, May 3, July 26, and October 18. Board meetings occur March 26, June 23, September 25, and December 10.
