People Fund Grants
Who can apply: Nonprofit, charitable organizations providing humanitarian, educational, or community development services within the 26-county area; a portion may be awarded to organizations helping individuals or families in crisis or to tax-exempt organizations. Grants are generally for one-time projects that benefit many people, leverage other funds, avoid duplication, enhance cooperation, and are not for operating expenses, scholarships, endowments, loans, deficit spending, or faith-based organizations unless the project serves all community members regardless of religious affiliation.
Deadline: Letters of interest due April 1 and Oct. 1; grant applications and associated paperwork due April 15 and Oct. 15.
