CLMP Firecracker Awards (Awards with cash prizes)

Who can apply: Books must be published by an independent publisher during the relevant calendar year. Magazine entries must be independent and literary in nature; General Excellence entrants must have published regularly for at least the past two years, and Best Debut entrants must have launched in the 2025 or 2026 calendar years. Submissions are made by publishers, though authors may submit with publisher consent for books. Self-published books are not eligible.

Deadline: Submissions for the 2027 Firecracker Awards will be accepted in fall 2026.
