Who can apply: Any Fredericksburg public school teacher may apply, including Fredericksburg City Schools educators who directly engage students. Proposals should create clear, meaningful, and lasting benefits for Fredericksburg City Schools students. Strongly encouraged: innovation, solid research and best practices in teaching, and professional development that directly impacts students. Strongly discouraged uses include food (except off-site training meal expenses), individual awards, clothing, incentives for teachers, and most student incentives unless justified by compelling evidence.
Deadline: Applications open September 14, 2026 and close October 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM. Outcomes announced approximately November 23, 2026.
