Bean Foundation Grant
Who can apply: Primarily available to Manchester and Amherst 501(c)(3) organizations. Statewide or regional organizations may apply only when the grant will have a significant, quantifiable direct impact on Manchester or Amherst. Government entities may apply for projects outside normal taxpayer-funded operations, including planning, collaborative, and targeted projects. Applicants should demonstrate a significant problem or opportunity, a well-planned approach, and skilled professional and volunteer leadership. Organizations generally must wait two years after receiving a grant before applying again, and the Foundation generally accepts no more than one proposal per organization per cycle. Grants do not fund individuals, scholarships, camperships, travel, or personal conference expenses.
Deadline: Applications are due by 5 p.m. on December 1, April 1, or September 1. Grant review meetings occur in February, June, and November, respectively.
