BACF Annual Grants (Community Grants Cycle)
Who can apply: Applicants should be local not-for-profit organizations whose programs reach an unserved group of local citizens, address an unmet need, and do not duplicate services provided by other community charities. The Foundation evaluates impact on the population in School District 220 and the Barrington Area Council of Governments, including the greater of the two areas. Applicants must be duly certified and recognized charities with valid IRS 501(c)(3) status. Organizations that are largely tax-supported are not eligible.
Deadline: For the 2027 cycle, applications open December 1, 2026 and are due January 22, 2027. Primary interviews occur February 1–March 31, 2027; second interviews occur in March/April 2027; awards ceremony is in May 2027.
