America's Charities is mobilizing the power of giving to improve the world.
America’s Charities is structured around donor-directed giving, with a recent grant list that shows large general-support awards moving through workplace giving, cause funds, and administered philanthropy. The biggest recent grant in the record is $1,379,226 to Identity Theft Resource in El Cajon, California, followed by $442,710 to Chc Creating Healthier Communities in Alexandria, Virginia. Those awards sit alongside repeated support for national intermediaries and member nonprofits, which is consistent with a platform that channels funds rather than operating a single program portfolio. The organization’s grantmaking also reaches into civil rights and community relief. American Civil Liberties Union Foundation received $337,929 in 2025 and $275,219 in 2024, while Southern Poverty Law Center received $275,877 in 2023, $234,956 in 2024, and $255,664 in 2025. Feeding America appears multiple times as well, including $375,179 in 2023, $271,755 in 2024, and $291,977 in 2025. Across the record, the pattern is general support rather than restricted project funding.
Workplace giving is one of the clearest themes in the grant record. America’s Charities gave $287,106 in 2023 to Community Health Charities of America in Alexandria, Virginia, and $242,699 in 2023 to America’s Best Charities in Larkspur, California, both as general support. Civil rights and social action also show up repeatedly. The foundation supported American Civil Liberties Union Foundation Inc in New York with $373,805 in 2023 and $275,219 in 2024, then gave $196,073 in 2023 to NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund in New York. Disaster and emergency relief are another visible strand. Project Hope in Washington, DC received $215,410 in 2023, and Heart of Florida United Way in Orlando received $235,709 in 2023. Scholarships are part of the broader platform too, reflecting the organization’s administered scholarship services.
Typical grant size sits in a relatively narrow band: the 25th percentile is $6,977, the median is $10,409, and the 75th percentile is $20,634. The recent list also includes much larger awards, which suggests a layered distribution across member organizations, cause funds, and administered programs. Recurring recipients are visible across multiple years, including Feeding America, American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, Southern Poverty Law Center, and Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana. America’s Charities is a pure DAF provider, and the grant record is dominated by general support rather than project-specific awards. The listed programs indicate both unsolicited member participation and administrator-led grant and scholarship services.

Grant recipients are spread nationally, with 100% of grants in the United States. New Jersey is the top state by grant count, and Virginia accounts for 9% of grants. The recent awards also place recipients in a mix of cities: New York, Chicago, Alexandria, Indianapolis, Fort Worth, Dallas, Orlando, and Cherry Hill all appear in the top-grant list. That footprint fits a nationwide distribution model rather than a locally concentrated portfolio.
The foundation’s grant record and program list point to nonprofit organizations, with cause funds and workplace giving tied to areas such as civil rights and social action, community improvement, education, animal welfare, and arts and culture. The recent grants list also shows general-support awards to organizations in food assistance, legal advocacy, and community charity networks.
Typical grant size is modest relative to the largest awards in the record: the 25th percentile is $6,977, the median is $10,409, and the 75th percentile is $20,634. That distribution sits alongside a much larger set of awards that move through workplace and cause-fund channels.
No grants in the recipient-country distribution are listed outside the United States. The country breakdown shows 2,334 grants, all of them in the US, even though one program description notes that employee relief funds can be configured internationally for client programs.
The named focus areas include workplace giving, employee assistance and relief funds, disaster relief, scholarships, corporate philanthropy, and civil rights/social action through cause funds. The recent grants record also shows support for organizations working in food assistance and legal advocacy.
Yes. Feeding America appears in 2023, 2024, and 2025; American Civil Liberties Union Foundation appears in 2023 and 2024; Southern Poverty Law Center appears in 2023, 2024, and 2025; and Correctional Professionals Assistance Fund of Indiana appears in 2024 and 2025. That pattern suggests recurring support rather than one-off awards.
