ACAF Community Grants
Who can apply: Applicants must be tax-exempt nonprofit organizations proposing programs or projects that serve Allegany County communities and residents. ACAF does not provide grants to individuals. Projects should demonstrate community need, organizational capacity, meaningful benefit to county residents, and potential for sustainable impact. Preference is given to new or special projects rather than ongoing operating costs. Projects must be proposed or ongoing; completed projects are not funded. Partisan or political projects are ineligible. Religious organizations are eligible only for projects providing a clear public benefit beyond religious activity. Artistic projects must be noncontroversial, align with community standards, and include clear descriptions or renderings.
Deadline: The next stated grant application deadline is Friday, October 16. Applications are generally due at least five days before a Grant Committee meeting, which meets every two months from September through June.
