About Agilent Technologies Foundation
The Agilent Technologies Foundation concentrates its giving on supporting employee philanthropy infrastructure and targeted STEM higher-education initiatives. The majority of dollars fund the company’s employee giving/matching platform, while a sizable multi-grant commitment supports STEM academic and career outcomes at Delaware State University (an HBCU in the Mid‑Atlantic). Overall the foundation makes few, large grants rather than many small awards.

About Agilent Technologies Foundation
A defining feature of the Agilent Technologies Foundation is its large employee giving infrastructure: the biggest recent awards go to American Online Giving Foundation for employee match giving, including $2,097,090 in 2024 and $2,009,045 in 2025. That same pattern shows the foundation using grantmaking to channel employee-selected philanthropy at scale, while also reserving major directed grants for STEM education and career outcomes. The foundation’s most visible programmatic commitment is to Delaware State University, where multiple six- and seven-figure grants support academic outcomes, scholarships, labs, and internships for underrepresented STEM students in the Mid-Atlantic region. Another strand of giving supports science education and research capacity through organizations such as Friends of IHES, Science Is Elementary, and the University of Melbourne. Across the recent grants list, the foundation also funds refugee youth services, water access work, food security, and climate resilience. The result is a profile with two distinct modes: high-volume support for employee philanthropy and targeted, often large grants for STEM pipelines and selected social impact work.
What Agilent Technologies Foundation Funds
In STEM education, the foundation pairs scholarship support with institutional capacity building. It gave $1,515,000 to Delaware State University Foundation to improve academic outcomes and career prospects for underrepresented STEM students in the Mid-Atlantic region and to sponsor the DSU Scholarship Ball, and another $1,043,585 in 2025 for STEM student outcomes in the same region. It also backs research and laboratory infrastructure outside the U.S. A $25,000 grant to Musana helped equip a chemistry lab at a new high school in Uganda, while $25,000 to Seeding Labs supported shipping donated equipment to beneficiary institutions in Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, and other countries. Beyond STEM, the foundation funded humanitarian and environmental work: $200,000 to International Rescue Committee for refugee youth, $200,000 to Sos Sahel USA for food insecurity and living conditions in the Sahel, and $150,000 to Technoserve for climate resilience among a farming community in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
How Agilent Technologies Foundation Gives
The recent grant list is top-heavy: p25 is $17,668, median is $25,000, and p75 is $52,000, but several awards are far larger, including multiple seven-figure grants. The pattern is repetitive in a few places, especially employee match giving through American Online Giving Foundation across 2023, 2024, and 2025. The foundation is a regular funder rather than a DAF, and it reports that it funds individuals. Unsolicited requests are accepted for some employee-giving and volunteer-linked programs, while directed and strategic grants are not framed that way in the data.
