The mission of the University of Texas Foundation is to advance education by providing financial support to The University of Texas System, including its branches, departments, schools, and colleges across the fourteen institutions, to enhance research, teaching, scholarship, faculties, and facilities, ensuring excellence in education.
The University of Texas Foundation Inc. directs large-scale institutional support across the University of Texas System, with recent gifts reaching the flagship campus in Austin and the system’s medical and academic units in Houston and San Antonio. Its giving is built around educational and research support rather than individual grants, and the record shows repeated awards to major UT institutions year after year. The largest recent grant in the file is $24,314,961 to University of Texas Austin for educational/research, followed by a $23,702,805 award in the prior year and a $20,390,027 grant in 2023 to the same campus. Another major recipient is Utmd Anderson, which received $17,145,132 in 2025 and $15,960,075 in 2023 for educational/research.
