Who can apply: Organizations serving children of African descent/children of color in Rhode Island urban core communities. Priority for organizations with leadership reflecting community diversity. Preference for programs serving multiple children (not single-child scholarships). Generally favors organizations with annual operating budgets under $1.5 million. Funding is for services/programs for children, not for equipment or capital improvements. Applicants must apply via the Rhode Island Foundation online system.

Deadline: Application deadline typically March 24 (previous cycle closed March 24, 2025). Applications open in January (previous cycle opened January 20, 2025).
