Nevada Alliance is a highly active, Nevada-focused funder that concentrates on electoral politics, voter protection and civic engagement, plus allied issue advocacy (reproductive rights, labor/worker power, and conservation). The foundation makes large, often repeat grants to state and national political/advocacy vehicles and grassroots Nevada organizations to influence elections, protect voting access, and advance progressive policy outcomes within the state.
Nevada Alliance’s largest recent grant was $7,540,000 to Fair Government Nevada for primary-purpose work, a signal that the funder favors major, election-related support rather than small, scattered awards. Across the recent grants list, its money repeatedly backs voter protection, electoral organizing, and state-level advocacy tied to Nevada politics. The foundation also appears in the campaign ecosystem through large commitments to groups such as Workers Vote and Protect Your Vote NV, alongside state-based recipients like Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom and Newvote Nevada. The funder’s recent activity shows a consistent preference for organizations engaged in turnout, voting access, and political infrastructure. Grants also reach allied issue campaigns, including labor mobilization and conservation advocacy, suggesting a strategy that connects issue-based organizing to electoral outcomes. The overall pattern is one of large, purpose-driven grants to entities positioned to influence ballot contests, legislative fights, and public policy debates in Nevada and beyond.
Voter protection and election infrastructure are a central theme. Nevada Alliance gave $2,760,000 to Protect Your Vote NV for political work and $190,000 to Newvote Nevada for primary-purpose support, both tied to safeguarding participation in Nevada elections. Reproductive rights is another clear area. In 2025, the foundation awarded $915,000 to Nevadans for Reproductive Freedom for primary-purpose work, and in 2024 it gave $525,000 to NV for Reproductive Freedom for general support. Labor and worker organizing also appear in the portfolio. The funder granted $2,775,000 to Workers Vote for political work and $250,000 to Worker Power Pac for political work, showing sustained backing for labor-aligned electoral activity. Conservation-related advocacy is present as well, including $630,000 to Nevada Conservation League for advocacy and $250,000 to League of Conservation Voters Victory Fund for political work.
Typical grant size is large: the 25th percentile is $45,000, the median is $200,000, and the 75th percentile is $551,250. The recent record includes both multi-million-dollar awards and many mid-sized grants, with a strong tilt toward purpose-specific support such as primary-purpose, political, advocacy, and general support. Recipients recur across years, including several Nevada political and advocacy organizations that appear in both 2023 and 2025. The profile also indicates a private foundation structure rather than an individual-giving vehicle, with no program-related investments and no funding to individuals.
