Who can apply: Only organizations exempt from tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code may apply. The foundation does not fund individuals, partisan political groups, or lobbying efforts. Funding should generally support specific needs in the communities served, primarily Bexar County, Texas.
Deadline: For grant requests of $25,000 or less there are quarterly application windows (Apr 1–Jun 30; Jul 1–Sep 30; Oct 1–Dec 31; Jan 1–Mar 31) with corresponding decision dates. Requests over $25,000 are reviewed as received; applications received after Nov 1 will generally be considered the following calendar year.
