Research Grants
Who can apply: Preference is given to projects directly related to tuberculosis, new or pilot projects, clinical care and outcomes rather than basic science, projects serving medically underserved or economically disadvantaged populations, projects with a substantial presence in Western Washington, modest budgets, one- to two-year completion timelines, established human-subjects approval where applicable, and limited alternative funding sources. Ongoing salary support and institutional overhead/indirect costs are generally not funded, except for essential research staff, research-trial subject stipends, and eligible fellowship funding. Applicants must generally be 501(c)(3) organizations or other nonprofits or tax-exempt organizations; individuals are generally not eligible.
Deadline: Letter of Intent due February 28; invited full application due March 31 annually. Out-of-cycle grants may be reviewed on an individual case basis.
