Política de Uso de Datos
Versión 1.0 — Vigente desde el 14 de agosto de 2026
Estos términos legales se proporcionan solo en inglés. La versión en inglés es la versión vinculante.
Effective date: August 14, 2026. This policy governs use of Kindora Data obtained through kindora.co, Kindora's APIs, and Kindora's public MCP server. It supplements our Terms of Service; for users with Kindora accounts, the Terms of Service also apply.
The short version
You can use Kindora's funder data freely to find and win funding for your own organization or clients — including through AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT, which we built our public MCP server for. What you can't do without a written agreement: republish the data, build it into your own product or database, or use it to train AI models. When you show Kindora data to other people, say it came from Kindora. This summary is for convenience; the sections below govern.
1. What this policy covers
"Kindora Data" means the data, profiles, scores, matches, and other content Kindora serves through its website, APIs, and MCP server — including Kindora's compilation of funder and grant information, its entity resolution and deduplication, funder classifications, aliases, fit scores, enrichment, and derived analysis. Some underlying facts in Kindora Data originate in public records (such as IRS Form 990 filings and government grant listings). Kindora claims no ownership of those underlying public records themselves; Kindora's rights are in its selection, arrangement, enrichment, and derived works, and in the services that deliver them.
2. Your license
Kindora grants you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-sublicensable, non-transferable license to access Kindora Data through the interfaces Kindora provides, for the Permitted Uses in Section 3. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. This license does not transfer ownership of anything.
3. Permitted uses — free, no permission needed
- Fundraising for your own organization. Researching, evaluating, and pursuing funders and funding opportunities for the organization you work for or volunteer with.
- Client work through your own access. Consultants and advisors using Kindora Data to serve specific clients, through their own use of Kindora's services and plans.
- AI assistants, expressly welcome. Using Kindora Data as input to an AI assistant or agent acting on your behalf — including retrieval, grounding, and generating responses to your questions in tools like Claude and ChatGPT. Our public MCP server exists for exactly this. You may keep and reuse the responses you legitimately receive.
- Research, journalism, and commentary. Citing, quoting, and analyzing insubstantial excerpts of Kindora Data with attribution (Section 5).
4. Uses that require a written agreement
Contact us (Section 10) before doing any of the following. Each requires a written agreement with Kindora:
- Redistribution. Republishing or distributing Kindora Data, in whole or in part, on a stand-alone basis — as a dataset, feed, file, or lookup service.
- Embedding in a product or service. Displaying or delivering Kindora Data to your own customers, members, or users through your product, platform, website, or service. This includes operating an AI agent or assistant as a service for other people's use where it draws on Kindora Data.
- Resale or sublicensing. Selling access to Kindora Data or to Kindora's services, or granting others rights in them.
- Bulk or systematic extraction. Harvesting Kindora Data at volume, or using it to build, populate, or improve any database, directory, search index, or similar collection.
- AI model training and indexing. Using Kindora Data to train, fine-tune, or improve any AI model, or to build embeddings, vector stores, or retrieval indexes. This does not restrict the real-time assistant uses permitted in Section 3. This paragraph survives any termination of your access or of this policy.
5. Attribution
When Kindora Data is displayed to anyone beyond your own organization or client engagement — in a product, publication, report, or presentation — the displaying surface must conspicuously include the text "Data from Kindora (kindora.co)" or a substantially equivalent credit with a working link where links are supported. Voice and chat surfaces must identify Kindora as the source in the response itself. Do not remove or obscure source, provenance, or attribution fields that Kindora includes in its data and API responses. Attribution requirements for a licensed integration are set in its agreement.
6. Fair access
Kindora sets and enforces access and volume limits at its discretion; current public limits are described at kindora.co/mcp. Do not circumvent or attempt to circumvent limits or access controls — including by rotating IP addresses, keys, sessions, client identifiers, or accounts, or by distributing requests across machines to exceed a limit. Kindora may monitor usage to enforce this policy and to protect the service. If you operate an automated system that calls Kindora, you are responsible for its behavior, including preventing runaway request loops, and you must promptly suspend its access if Kindora asks.
7. Accuracy
Kindora Data is provided "as is." It is compiled from sources that lag, contain errors, and omit information (IRS filings, for example, can run years behind). Kindora does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose, and you are responsible for verifying information before relying on it. See the Terms of Service for the full disclaimer and limitation of liability, which apply to Kindora Data.
8. Suspension and termination
Kindora may suspend or terminate free or anonymous access at any time, with or without notice or cause, and may suspend any access immediately where it reasonably believes this policy is being violated. On termination of your access, you must stop accessing Kindora Data and delete Kindora Data you hold in violation of this policy. Sections 1, 4 (including the surviving training prohibition), 5, 7, 9, and any accrued obligations survive termination.
9. Legal boundaries
Nothing in this policy restricts uses permitted by applicable law, including fair use, or claims rights in underlying public records. This policy does not grant rights in Kindora's trademarks. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Kindora may update this policy; the current version is always at this URL with its effective date, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Integrations already operating on the effective date above have until October 13, 2026 to come into compliance or contact us. This policy is governed by the same law and dispute-resolution terms as the Terms of Service.
10. Licensing and contact
If your use case needs more than the free permissions above — an embedded integration, a data partnership, redistribution, or anything you're not sure about — we're glad to talk. Kindora offers partner agreements for exactly this. Reach us at support@kindora.co. Legal notices: legal@kindora.co. Kindora, PBC is a Delaware public benefit corporation.
