For-profit businesses, organizations without a specific neighborhood focus, and past Bridge Builders recipients are not eligible. Projects may not be partisan or legislative political activities, sectarian religious activities, fee-based events or fundraisers, loans, routine business expenses, routine public-space maintenance, protests, or activities promoting violence, hate, discrimination, or exclusion.

Organizations may submit up to 25 pending or approved applications at a time and may not reapply to the same facility within the same fiscal year after receiving funding.
