The Veloric Foundation’s public record shows a single, large $6.8M contribution to a donor-advised fund (Fidelity Charitable), indicating the foundation is currently acting as a source of pass-through or donor-directed capital rather than making direct programmatic grants. There are no grants to operating nonprofits or issue-specific organizations, so no programmatic priorities are yet visible; future giving will likely be determined by the donor(s) directing the DAF. This pattern suggests flexibility and a preference for intermediary vehicles to facilitate philanthropy.
Highly concentrated: a single, large one-time transfer into a donor-advised fund (intermediary) rather than direct grants to programmatic grantees. No evidence of repeat or issue-specific funding.
The Veloric Foundation’s largest public grant is a $6.8 million contribution to Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund, and that single transaction shapes how the foundation reads in the public record: as a funder channeling substantial capital through intermediary vehicles. Beyond that pass-through contribution, the record shows direct support to universities, Jewish organizations, a hospital, a relationship-services nonprofit, and a community development group. The mix includes both contribution grants and general operating support, suggesting the foundation uses multiple grant types rather than one fixed model. American University appears multiple times in the recent grants list, including a $105,500 contribution in 2025 and $100,000 grants in 2024. Other named recipients also recur, including American Technion Society, American Jewish Committee, Council for Relationships, Shane Victorino Foundation, and Drexel University. That repetition points to an active pattern of follow-on support among a small set of recipients. The foundation’s public giving record is broad enough to include higher education, Jewish communal institutions, and local Philadelphia organizations, while still being dominated by a very large intermediary contribution rather than a single operating program.
Higher education is one visible thread in The Veloric Foundation’s recent grants. They gave $105,500 to American University in 2025 and another $100,000 to the same institution in 2024, along with $10,000 to Drexel University in 2025 and $10,000 to The University of the Arts in 2024. Jewish organizations also appear repeatedly. The foundation awarded $100,000 to American Jewish Committee in 2024 and another $100,000 contribution in 2025 to American Jewish Committeejacob Blaustein Bldg. It also gave $100,000 and $75,000 to American Technion Society in 2024, plus another $100,000 in 2025. Community-serving nonprofits in Philadelphia show up as well. Council for Relationships received $55,000 in 2025 and both a $25,000 contribution and a $25,000 general operating support grant in 2024. The Enterprise Center received $20,000 in 2024 and another $20,000 in 2025 through The Enterprise Center Community Develpoment Corpor.
The Veloric Foundation’s grant sizes cluster around modest awards: the 25th percentile is $3,900, the median is $10,000, and the 75th percentile is $62,500. That spread sits alongside one very large outlier, the $6.8 million contribution to Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund. The public record shows repeated grants to the same organizations across 2024 and 2025, including American University, American Technion Society, Council for Relationships, Shane Victorino Foundation, Drexel University, and Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach. The foundation is private and does not fund individuals. The available record also shows both contribution grants and general operating support, with no program-related investments reported.
