About Sai Shiva Charitable Tr
Sai Shiva Charitable Tr’s recent giving is anchored by support for faith-linked trusts that provide free medical treatment and free education, especially through the Sri Sathya Sai network and related service organizations. That pattern appears in grants to Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust for medical relief for the poor and for free medical treatment plus free education, as well as to Prashanthi Balamandira Trust for assistance to a free medical school and free hospital for the poor. The foundation also backs organizations that turn those priorities into direct services for children and families, including Education For All for free education from primary through higher education and One World One Family Foundation for feeding school children and supporting their education. Alongside those larger awards, the grant list shows steady support for food, shelter, and basic-care programs. Local service groups received funding for food banks, homeless meals, room and board, free medicines, and help for underprivileged children and patients. The result is a grantmaking profile centered on charity-based delivery rather than advocacy, with recurring attention to education, healthcare, and subsistence needs.
What Sai Shiva Charitable Tr Funds
Free education is one of the clearest themes in the funder’s recent awards. Education For All received $25,000 for helping young children get free education from primary to higher education, while Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust received $20,002 in 2023 and $10,001 in 2024 for free education to all students alongside medical treatment. Healthcare is another core area. The foundation gave $21,000 to Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust for medical relief for the poor and $10,001 to Prashanthi Balamandira Trust for assistance to a free medical school and free hospital for the poor. It also supported Heart to Heart Foundation with $5,001 for life-saving heart surgeries to children and education support for unprivileged children. Basic-needs support appears in smaller grants too. Harbor Gateway Torrance Outreach received funds for a food bank and holiday gift cards for poor families, and Los Angeles Mission received support for feeding homeless people.
