The Blue Guitar Foundation concentrates large, discretionary gifts to Jewish religious and communal institutions, with major contributions to synagogues and international Jewish relief/advocacy groups. Grants are high-dollar and targeted, often routed through donor-advised or fiscal-sponsor vehicles, with occasional giving outside the Jewish sector to philanthropic infrastructure and health advocacy. There is a geographic tilt toward established Jewish communities (Palm Beach, New York area) and repeat support for specific institutions.
Concentrated, high-value grants with a small number of recipients; repeated payments to select Jewish institutions and use of intermediary/fiscal-sponsor channels rather than many small grants.
Notable grantees: Palm Beach Jewish Center, JDC (American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee), Chabad West Village, Keren Or Inc, Children's Health Defense
Blue Guitar Foundation C/o the Jack Parker Corp makes large, discretionary contributions, and its biggest recent gift was $5,000,000 to Palm Beach Jewish Center in 2025. That scale is echoed across the rest of the portfolio: a $1,500,000 grant to Jdc in 2023 and a $1,000,000 grant to Keren Or Inc in 2025 show that the foundation funds at institutional levels rather than through small project awards. The recent record also shows sustained support for Jewish communal life in New York and Palm Beach, with Chabad West Village receiving multiple substantial grants across 2023, 2024, and 2025. The foundation’s giving reaches beyond synagogue support into Jewish social services, antisemitism-related advocacy, and some non-Jewish organizations. Recent recipients include Students Against Antisemitism Inc, Combat Antisemitisim Foundation, and Children's Health Defense, alongside grants to Yeshiva of South Shore and Chabad Palm Beach. Several awards are routed as contributions to established organizations, including National Philanthropic Trust and Gsd Advisers Inc, indicating a grantmaking pattern built around sizable institutional transfers rather than broad public solicitation.
Jewish communal institutions are a central theme in the recent grants. The foundation gave $625,000 in 2024 and $343,000 in 2025 to Chabad West Village, and also awarded $100,000 to Chabad Palm Beach in 2023. It made another synagogue-related grant of $10,000 to Palm Beach Jewish Center Inc in 2024, alongside the much larger Palm Beach Jewish Center contribution listed elsewhere. International Jewish relief and community development also appear in the record. In 2023, Blue Guitar Foundation C/o the Jack Parker Corp gave $1,500,000 to Jdc, a New York-based recipient. Jewish social services are represented by the $1,000,000 contribution to Keren Or Inc in 2025. The foundation also funded advocacy and educational efforts tied to antisemitism and Israel. Recent examples include $150,000 to Students Against Antisemitism Inc in 2025, $100,000 to Combat Antisemitisim Foundation in 2024, and $10,000 to Institute for Black Solidarity With Israel in 2024.
Typical awards are substantial: the grant-size distribution runs from a p25 of $25,000 to a median of $100,000 and a p75 of $175,000. The recent record also includes very large outliers, including several six- and seven-figure gifts. Recipients can appear across multiple years, such as Chabad West Village, Make-a-wish Foundation, and Children's Health Defense, which points to repeat support rather than one-time-only giving. The foundation is not a public fundraiser; it does not fund individuals and it does not make program-related investments. Recent grants are listed as contributions, including to donor-advised or intermediary organizations such as National Philanthropic Trust and Gsd Advisers Inc.
