Annual Grant Cycle (Letters of Inquiry)
Who can apply: Applicant must be a public charity with tax-exempt status under Sections 501(c)(3) or 509(a) for a minimum of three years before LOI submission. Proposal must target a specific population for a specific duration with measurable goals, provide services in Arlington, Texas, use the full available grant within 12 months unless otherwise agreed, and include matching funds. Organizations that received a WIP grant in the past 2 years are not eligible. Requests for general operating, debt reduction, endowments, bridge funding, operational deficits, partisan/political activity, general fund drives, religious beneficiary-restricted activities, private foundations, legal expenses, general construction or renovation unrelated to the project, general capital campaigns, fundraising events, advertising, sports-related activities, and noncompliant projects are not eligible.
Deadline: LOIs due by noon on January 31 each year; grant presentations are typically held in May; grants are awarded in summer.
