Who can apply: Applicants must be U.S.-based nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status, nonprofit educational institutions, or non-U.S. nonprofits with an equivalency determination certificate. The proposed programs or research must primarily benefit people in low- and lower-middle-income countries. Individuals, for-profit entities, government entities, international organizations, and political or lobbying entities are not eligible. University and college applicants are not eligible for indirect costs.
Deadline: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; funding decisions are made every few months. The funder generally aims to respond within six months of submission.
