Adult Learn-to-Swim Grants

Who can apply: Open to all swim instructors, facilities, and programs that want to help more adults become safer around water. Grant recipients must register as a USMS club/workout group at the time of award acceptance.

Deadline: Applications open in early September each year and must be submitted by November 15 at 11:59pm MT. Awards are announced in early spring of the subsequent year.

Learn-to-Swim Grant Program

Who can apply: Interested applicants must be an approved provider within the Swim Lesson Provider Network prior to November 15.

HBCU Grants

Who can apply: HBCUs interested in starting youth water safety lessons, HBCUs with existing university-based clubs, and HBCUs interested in starting university-based swim clubs.

Community Impact Grants

Who can apply: Applicants must be a currently registered USA Swimming year-round club member in good standing, with intent to renew membership for the grant year. Priority is given to clubs that partner with a school, municipality, or other public entity in underserved communities, are at least 51% women-owned/led, are at least 51% minority-owned/led, or partner with and operate out of an HBCU.

Who can apply: Community swim teams and affiliated nonprofit or community-based organizations.
