Black-Led Nonprofits Small Grants

Who can apply: Applicants must attend in-person application training; be led by a Black CEO or president, or have a board of directors composed of at least 51% Black members; have at least two years of primarily serving the Black community in Stark and/or Carroll County; have less than $500,000 in combined annual revenue or assets; be incorporated as a nonprofit organization by the State of Ohio; and have IRS 501(c)(3) tax status. Agencies receiving United Way allocations are not eligible to apply for additional funds for the same program.

Deadline: The 2026 application window was January 6-30, 2026. The opportunity is described as annual; the next cycle is expected to open January 6, 2027 and close January 30, 2027.
