Grants for Homeless Shelters (RedRover Relief - Domestic Violence / Homeless Shelter Safe Housing Grants)
Who can apply: Applicants must be established homeless shelters expanding services to help unhoused people keep pets on-site; registered nonprofit organizations based in the United States; near the point where construction or renovation can begin; have a partner animal organization with experience housing animals; have a detailed program plan and budget, estimates and necessary permits; be ready to accept pets within 12 months; have a written MOU with the animal organization; and identify a veterinary partner or provide veterinary care through the organization. Grants cannot support salaries, training, real estate acquisition, promotional materials, existing programs without capacity expansion, or new organizations.
Deadline: March 1 and June 1 annually.
