Who can apply: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits, units of local government, or public education institutions serving residents of Eastern Jackson County east of I-435, suburban Jackson County outside Kansas City, or Cass County. Applicants may apply to only one THCF competitive grant program per year, either this program or Community Grants. Grants may be awarded for up to three consecutive years, after which organizations must sit out one year before reapplying. Incomplete applications are disqualified.
Deadline: Second Monday of March annually; the 2027 deadline is March 8, 2027.
