Empower veterans and families of fallen heroes to develop character in future generations.
Travis Manion Foundation’s recent grants show a repeated commitment to community-based support for veterans, first responders, and youth-serving organizations, with the largest award in the file going to Intentional Sports for educational programming. The foundation’s giving also includes recurring support for groups tied to wellness, emotional recovery, and community engagement, suggesting a practical mix of program funding and local partnership. Two of the clearest signals come from the repeated grants to Operation Lone Star for wellness and to Houston Professional Firefighters Local 341 for community support, each funded in both 2023 and 2024 at the same $10,000 level. That pattern sits alongside smaller awards to organizations such as Central Bucks Regional Police Foundation and Doylestown Fire Company No 1, reflecting attention to civic and public-safety-related groups as well as youth development. Across the recent grants list, the foundation appears to favor direct, defined awards rather than a wide spread of highly varied amounts, and its named focus areas point to veterans and military families, survivors of fallen service members, leadership development, and character education.
In educational work, Travis Manion Foundation gave $56,854 to Intentional Sports for educational programming and $15,000 to The City Schools Foundation for educational support. It also funded Maryville Academy Foundation with $15,000, again under an educational purpose. Beyond school-focused giving, the foundation has backed wellness and recovery efforts: Operation Lone Star received $10,000 in 2024 and another $10,000 in 2023 for wellness, while Assist the Officer Houston received $10,000 in both years for emotional recovery. Community-based grants also appear in the record, including $10,000 each year to Houston Professional Firefighters Local 341 for community support and $7,000 each year to Central Bucks Regional Police Foundation for community purposes.
The recent grant list is anchored by a median grant size of $10,000, with a lower quartile of $7,000 and an upper quartile also at $10,000. That points to a cluster of standard award sizes, with one larger outlier at $56,854. Recipients appear across multiple years in several cases: Operation Lone Star, Houston Professional Firefighters Local 341, Assist the Officer Houston, Central Bucks Regional Police Foundation, and Doylestown Fire Company No 1 each show repeat awards in 2023 and 2024. The foundation is not a private grantmaker to individuals; it gives institutional grants only, and the pattern suggests direct program support rather than investments or awards to people.
