Action for Transformation Fund
Who can apply: Applicants must be an organization or project that is a 501(c)(3) or fiscally sponsored project. The organization or project must demonstrate leadership in trans organizing, with the majority of decision-making power held by trans and gender-nonconforming people. Proposed work must build movement power, be rooted in collective liberation, cultivate organizing skills, and seek material change for trans communities. Priority is given to Black, Indigenous, and people of color-led work; rural and geographically isolated groups; groups led by disabled, Deaf, ill, and Mad people; sex worker-led groups; and emerging groups with budgets under $1 million. No minimum budget requirement. Individuals, cisgender-led work, work housed at larger cisgender-led organizations, multiyear work, solely social activities, academic research, and 501(c)(4) work are ineligible.
Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Decisions are typically made within one month of submission.
